Dr. Rob Power

Dr. Rob Power is an Assistant Professor of Education with Cape Breton University, Canada. Rob has been working in Education sector since 2001. His experience includes working as a Technology and Learning Resources, English Language Arts, and Social Studies teacher at the Intermediate / Secondary level in Newfoundland and Labrador. He has also worked as an Information Technology instructor and an Instructional Developer at the post-secondary level, both in Canada and abroad. He has also worked as an Instructional Development Consultant, and the Leader of the Online Learning team with the Fraser Health Authority in British Columbia, Canada. Dr. Power has been developing and teaching undergraduate and graduate-level Education courses for various Canadian universities since 2015, with a focus on Instructional Design and Development, Educational Technology Integration, Technology and the Curriculum, and Mobile Learning. Since 2013, Dr. Power has served in leading roles with the International Association for Mobile Learning (IAmLearn), and he has served as the Chair of the 12th World Conference on Mobile and Contextual Learning (mLearn 2013). He served as President of the Executive Committee of IAmLearn from 2017-2019. Dr. Power is also a founding member of the Pedagogy, Education and Technology Lab (PETL).

Dr. Helen Crompton

Dr. Helen Crompton is an Associate Professor of Instructional Technology, Director of the Virtual Reality Lab and Director of the Technology Enhanced Learning Lab (TELL), at Old Dominion University Virginia, USA. She draws from 25 years in education and a PhD in educational technology and mathematics education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her research focus is on educational technology with a specific focus on learning with mobile devices. She has received numerous awards in the USA and her home country England for her work in technology integration, including the SCHEV award for the Outstanding Professor of Virginia. She works as a consultant for the United Nations, advising and writing on technology in education. She also consults for the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) in designing courses (tech integration, AI, and mobile learning) and coaching. Dr. Crompton has published over 100 articles on technology integration.

Dr. Lisa Law

Dr. Lisa Law is currently working as the Senior Teaching and Learning Officer at the Centre for Holistic Teaching and Learning (CHTL) in Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU). Lisa’s major responsibilities at the Centre include: providing advice/consultation to academic staff to facilitate their pedagogical development in supporting the University’s implementation of Outcomes-based approach to teaching and learning, e-learning application etc. in addition to her teaching role to teach research postgraduate students on the basic teaching skills. Lisa is also responsible for organizing regular teaching and learning sharing workshops/seminars/conferences to facilitate/develop academic staff with the latest pedagogical approaches to enhance students’ learning quality at the University. As a co-lead of a UGC-funded project of promoting Internationalization in the Hong Kong Higher Education, Lisa is also activity involved in working within and outside the University with different stakeholders for building professional capacity. Lisa’s current interests include technology-assisted learning, hall life education and internationalization.
